I ordered the Goodyear ST tires at Walmart.com, delivered to the store, took in my rims, had steel valve guides installed, mounted in about an hour at 110#
(rims are good for that) reinstalled and away we go.

I have a similar problem doing business with Goodyear as the OP. Replaced my TT tires with Carlisle Trail HDs and am very happy with them.

Tires

Maxxis is equal to the Goodyear Endurance. I move up a size and from C to D rated. This was available in the Goodyear, not the Maxxis 8008 for my TT. Also when I was looking, the Maxxis was $25 more a tire and GY had $100 off four tires. Very pleased w/ GY, 6K on them and they still look great.

A local shop will probably beat Goodyears price with better service.

Maxxis here for 4 years with no issues. Whichever you decide on be sure they are fresh. I had one shop try to mount 4 year old tires. There's a DOT code on the sidewalk. Search online how to decipher the code.

I ran 2 sets of Maxxis tires on my Terry for 5 years on each set and ran all over the country with no issues. Picked up a nail in San Antonio, Tx which caused a slow leak. Had it repaired and ran back to Florida. I highly recommend them.

As for the Endurance, you may want to see if Tire Rack has them available. They provide a list of dealers who will install them. Tires can be shipped to the installer or to your home.

Trailer King tires

We have Good Year Endurance on our 21ss. A friend ask me (via text) about tires and I recommended either the GY Endurance or the Maxxis. His response was they were too pricey and that he was looking at Trailer King tires. Said they had good reviews. Anyone familiar with this brand. My thoughts are you can't put a price tag on safety and the confidence that your tires won't fail you, but that's just me.

Thanks

Hank

Could be. Several national distributors have quit carrying goodyears due to the fact they are selling direct to the end user via the goodyear site, thus cutting out the middleman.

Goodyear endurance

If you want the Goodyear tires, consider this....I deal locally with a Firestone Store. He had no problem ordering the Goodyears and installing them. You don't have to go to a Goodyear Dealer for them.

Sure you can. We do it all the time, every day.

Why doesn't a Camry have a crash pod like a Formula One car? They make 200mph crashes survivable. Why not? Cost.

Why isn't your truck equipped with a full cage and a HANS anchor? Cost.

Why don't they build *all* roadways like interstate highways, with physical separation between oncoming traffic, and grade separation between intersecting traffic? Cost.

We literally do cost/benefit analysis constantly, without even thinking about it. And unfortunately, we often support our choices with unsupportable "facts". When you say that you removed the brand new factory tires from your RV and replaced them with [whatever] to prevent a blowout - you haven't prevented a blowout.... because there is no way to know that you would have had one. The only thing we can know for sure is that you paid twice for one set of tires.

My "facts" are previous failures with Chinese made tires even though I properly inflate, store off the ground...basically take care of them with kid gloves. I really don't care of there are people that drive with no failures. In my opinion, they are an added risk where its worth it to me to pay to alleviate. Never taking a chance with Chinese tires again, even if they are brand new on the trailer. They are coming off.

I know Goodyear Endurance are good, but the main goodyear dealer in the area is one I refuse to give business to thanks to a horrible experience years ago. Who's running Maxxis M8008, Kenda Karrier, Carlise Radial Trails or others and what is your opinion of them? If push comes to shove I'll just order the goodyears online and take them somewhere to get mounted but I'd rather give a local shop my business.

You don't have to deal with the local tire dealer. Check with Tire Rack. They can ship to any dealer and that dealer can install the new GY's.

I Purchased these tires after I had a blowout. Best tires I have ever owned on my trailer, I know they are from China, however my mechanic recommended them highly and I have not been disappointed.

Order the tires through Walmart and have the shipped to the store.

They charge $15 a tire if you purchase them there.

Take your tires off one aside at a time and take them to the store to be mounted. Wally World probably has the best price.
