What pressure do you go by when checking tire pressure The TST 507 or a pressure gauge ? I always get 2 different readings.

I would go by the readings of a good tire pressure gauge. I consider the TPMS system as an indicator of a problem and warning system and not an accurate tire pressure gauge although my readings are close.

I use a digital tire pressure gage rated to 150 PSI, I never trust a TPMS systems at all. I won't install them on my trailer tires, just another expense that is not required.

All reports I've read in multiple forums say most TPMS pressures are usually a couple of pounds different than an accurate pressure gauge.

As mentioned, I check mine at the beginning of the season with a known good gauge and then use whatever my TPMS pressures are as a baseline after that. In my case, 70 psi with a gauge is 69 psi with the TPMS. If I back up the truck to hitch up and all are blinking at or near 69 psi, I'm good to go. Ambient temperature/sun on a tire(s) can make the pressure fluctuate a pound or two. No big deal.

Would it not rely on the accuracy if the guage? I have seen different guages have a tighter window on accuracy and some with higher amounts +/-

Do you like the TST 507 ? I am very interested in purchasing one. I have had some blowouts with one doing iver $3700 damage to the camper. The sidewall blew out and the tread whipped around and tore.up the bottom of the slide, wheel skirt and took out the back tank and lines. I would like to get a little advance warning instead of looking in the mirror and see rubber and what not flying and cars driving down into the median.

I believe YOU hold a minority opinion... at least this is the first time I have read that someone specifically said they will not use a TPMS on their trailer.

I find my flo-thru sensors are 2-3# lower then my gauge... all four of them read that low when I use my digital gauge, so I suppose my digital might be off, but all close enough for me.

I check my tires at the beginning of a new camping year with a digital gauge and then check what the pressure says on my TST 507. That’s the last time I check the tires with a gauge for the rest of the camping season. I trust the TST 507 system, it hasn’t failed me yet. If you are looking for a good TPMS you can’t go wrong with the TST system

Do you inflate your tires to max psi? I had heard that heat increases the psi. I have been inflating mine about 4-5 psi under max

On my trailer tires which is G614 the pressure on the yellow place card is 110psi. I inflate them to 105psi. On my truck I run what door sticker says, 60psi front tires, 80psi rear tires
