V cross vibe axle suggestions.

I have a 2013 V cross vibe 6504 single axle with the old 3500 rated torsion axle(14 + models have 4500lb axles.). Overall I love this travel trailer, love the queen size bed in back, roomy bathroom and the pullout makes it great for me, the wife and 2 dogs. I had a few issues but overall happy with the trailer, except the axle. Was thinking of going with a dual axle setup, move one back as close to awning as possible and add another 3500 pound axle. Or just adding a new 6,000 pound axle in place of current one. They really messed up this trailer with the weak axle combined with how forward the axle is and put the large storage in back, which can't be used due to sway. Any weight at all in back causes sway. I have a undercover bed cover on my Ram truck and everything when I go camping goes in truck, that stops sway by around 90% then I have a single sway control bar, only real sway I get now is if traveling over 65 and in very windy area. But my main concern is a blowout with the single axle. Not sure if I should just sell the vibe or invest in new axle.

Rotwiller, what did you end up deciding on the axle change? I pick up a 2012 next week that will have the same issues and am looking at doing the same thing, even thought about some kind of a adjustable a axle that could be moved foward or back to adjust the weight on the tong in stead of moving things in the camper.

It's been a year and a half since the OP last posted. You might send them a PM instead.
