Replacing the shocks could help, especially if the ride is bouncy. Good shocks will absorb the road roughness without allowing too much rebound. Than again, a truck is going to ride like a truck. Replacing the seats with good quality suspension seats would likely help the most with ride quality if there is enough headroom in the cab. While keeping the maximum sidewall pressure in all tires gives the longest tire life and reduces heat, lowering tire pressures to the vehicle’s listed tire pressures can help improve ride quality. However, never reduce tire pressure below the vehicle’s recommended minimum to improve ride quality. I have a 24-foot motor home on a GM 4500 chassis and I think the ride quality is quite good. But then again, I drove commercial trucks in my career and some were pretty darn harsh.
