Branson is my old stomping grounds; born and raised in southern Missouri and attended college at School of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, MO (Branson suburb). Don't look like I'll have vacation to attend but would love to do it. Excellent entertainment, Silver Dollar City, Museum on the now College of the Ozarks campus and Table Rock lake. Not to mention Springfield, MO, home of Bass Pro Shops, a short drive North. Trout fishing, golf yada, yada, yada. Extremely envious of all that will be attending.

Lake Taneycomo, more like a river because it's coming from Table Rock Lake Dam, runs right by Branson. In fact, there's a campground right by the lake. Excellent trout fishing there. If you're in the mood for about a 1 hour road trip, there's a trout ranch, Rainbow Trout Ranch, where they grow trout and have a pool and river. You can catch all you want, or just enough for supper, and they'll clean and cook them for supper. White River in AR is also a good day trip for trout but believe Taneycomo will satisfy you.

Thanks. I will look into it. Only having waders may limit my areas to fish.
