2020 Cardinal Luxury 3350RLX

Found a 2020 Cardinal Luxury 3350RLX for sale online from a dealer 90 miles away. They made me a quote for my trade in and I was able to negotiate a better deal on the trade in. I asked how long was the unit on the lot and they stated since June 2020. After telling them I was interested, they stated I would need to put down $200. as good faith for my buy intention and to hold the unit. I agreed and waited for the application to arrive in my email. Before I receive the email, I received a call from the dealer to inform me that the unit has been on the company’s lot since June 2019. This took me by surprise and did not result in a warm fuzzy. We plan on driving the 90 miles to look at the unit this coming Friday. The original listed price is 90k, offering a 30k discount with a 43.3k out the door price after a 20k trade in deduction and other fees added. Does this sound reasonable? Should the discount be greater considering how long its been on the lot?

Because you are looking to buy a RV, at the worst possible time, don't expect much of a discount.
With RV sales at an all-time high and low inventory, dealers don't have to negotiate. They know that they'll find someone who will pretty quickly.

This unit has been on the lot for 1 year 4 months. Not moving fast at that dealership.

While in the still looking phase, I found a 2020 Cardinal Luxury 335RLX and thought at first this was identical to the 3350RLX. It turns out that the 3350RLX is a Dealer Stock Only and with a 100" width compared to the 335RLX at 96". Both are the same length with the 335RLX having a greater CCC. Price the same. Any additional info or comments concerning the difference or experiences with either would be appreciated.

I think there is another $5,000 to $10,000 discount available. Sales are down. The hey day is over.

Cardinal

I would take a hard look under all the cabinets and beds for any sign of damage. We have been looking for a while and not finding any deals on the models we are wanting. Here is N. TX., all the lots are very low on available trailers. When something sounds too go to be true, my hackles go up.
Good luck, hope it turns out to be what you want.

About to make a deal on a unit when, after offering 20k for my tradein changed it to 18k due to Mgr disagreement with the offer, I refused the deal and walked away. Will be looking around for a reputable dealer, if that is possible in that industry.

We bought a leftover 2018 3350 Cardinal and got a pretty good deal. The trailer has been a good one, towed almost 16,000 miles since purchase, slept in our king bed 194 nights .
