3825fl shower leak

Hey everyone first post on here. I've got a 2016 3825fl and the shower drain pipe is leaking! Does anyone know how to access the plumbing under the shower so I can fix it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Should be two screw out inspection portholes on the shower base. That is the only way to access them.
Thought my drain was leaking but it was the caulking at the bottom of the door track.
Also if you go into your kitchen and look where your kickplate under the cabinets should be on the side where the bathroom is you can probably see all the way back through under the shower. Don't know if they forgot my kickplate or what.
Maybe all your drain needs is a little hand tightening.

Here is a picture looking through the port holes. I'm going to try to access it from the kitchen like you said. It looks like my only two options if that doesn't work will be to cut an access in the floor or the cabinets. The cabinets would be the easiest way to go. What a terrible design that doesn't give you access to the plumbing. Thanks for the reply. I'll post what I discover.

The white device to the left is a HepvO drain trap. Uses a thin diaphragm membrane to allow water to flow away from drain and seals gas from back flow.

I agree. Poor design. If I have problems in that area probably going through the cabinets as well. Good luck.

Just as Leon mentioned, I too thought I had a leaky drain, but it turned out to be leaky shower door. A tube of silicone caulk later, and the problem was resolved. I looked at your photo, what is to the right side? Is that the front of the shower? I'd recaulk the entire door before tearing into the plumbing, unless the leak is really obvious.

Dave thanks for the advice. I sprayed my shower door with water and that's where the leak is. I'm going to caulk it tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the help!

Thanks goodness! Nothing would make me sicker than to have to start hacking into the unit(whether me, or the dealer) for something like this.
