A/C compressor not starting

Had a hot skin condition ans electrician found that one of the a/c capacitors was fried. Amazingly enough it was still cooling great. After a few hours the fan would run but the compressor sounds as if it does a 1 or 2 second attempt to kick on but then doesn't. Electrician now says he's not an a/c guy so I'm waiting on a mobile repairman. It is a Dometic 15k on a 2016 Cardinal 3875FB. Any ideas on the problem? Does the a/c have only a 1 year warranty, or more?

Dometic A/C units have a two year warranty I believe.

The newer units will shut down the fan while the compressor is running to switch speeds, but it sounds like you have a different problem.
