Air Conditioner has no power

Please Help! Air Conditioner has no power going to it. I've checked the shore power, the breakers, changed the thermostat. No power to ac & thermostat. Every thing else in 04 Forest River Cardinal 29 LE works great. AC worked perfect last summer. It's getting hot in NM - need my AC working to keep me & 4 Chihuahuas cool.

How's your batteries? The thermostat runs off the batteries. If it don't have power the ac won't work

Welcome to the forum!

You've got a 2004? How did you test the battery?
You may need a mobile mechanic to try to trace down why you're getting no power to the thermostat or battery. You may need a new airconditioner, but you need to find out if it's the wiring or the unit itself.

The OP's trailer is a 2004. The original thermostat is completely mechanical. No batteries involved. (For A/C use, it's powered by the low-voltage transformer within the A/C.)

One of the good reasons to avoid replacing it with a "digital" thermostat is that you introduce new failure modes.
