Fireplace

Brand new Cardinal, 3950tz. Fireplace is flashing 88 and no heat coming out. Continues to flash when turned off. Can't lower temp setting. And so it begins....anybody know of a fix?

I don't know the unit but try securing the power to the unit via a circuit breaker with the unit off and see if that resets it, this is just a guess on my part

Problem: "The display unit on the control panel shows “88” and the function
indicator is quick flashing, indicating it is in alarm mode."

Solution: Unplug the unit from the wall outlet for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes plug the unit back into the wall outlet, and operate as normal.

If this doesn't work then try 10 minutes. Depending on the brand.
Does yours look like this? http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdf...3469f5ed69.pdf
