Fresh water tank vent/overfill

As most of us have discovered, the factory manuals are so generic, nothing applicable to your specific model can be found there to learn the details of any specific FR RV. So Im asking these questions: where is the Fresh water tank vent plumbing line? Does it go to a roof vent? Is there a Fresh water tank overfill / overboard pipe? If so where does it dump out? Or do you just shut Off the filling Source before the FULL LED lights up to prevent bursting the tank/plumbing?
My previous RVs had an overfill vent next to the fill port & if your standing next to it, you get doused when its full!

On most rigs the vent is the overflow also I have never encountered one piped to a plumbing stack. What I have seen is vented alongside the fill pipe or to the ground. With that said I found on my rig when it came from the factory the vent/overfill was kinked at the tank connection and not working I had to pull the coroplast to find it.

I don't thing fresh water tanks have a roof vent. Our 3950 Luxury has an overflow tube that tells me when it's full. That's what I use to know when to stop the fill.

Tank vent

What is the location of the vent line drain in your Luxury? I have looked all areas under the rig, near the water hookup box and all along the underside of the trailer.

Good question! I have a 2020 Rockwood 2902SW travel trailer. When I fill the water tank full, I soon observe a water leak emitting on the underside of the trailer from the area of the tank. The water is seeping through a patch seam in the underside. I do NOT observe any over flow line exiting below the trailer membrane. When I dump a small amount of water from the tank, the water leak stops. Due to the position of the water tank, it is impossible to observe the connection areas of the over flow and fill line. I suspect the problem is the overflow line allowing water to exit the tank to the ground. ANY experiences with this style of issue will be appreciated!

My friends trailer would leak underneath when full, I unscrewed a panel, found a rats nest and the overflow tube. Look for panels with screws around the water tank.

Here is a picture of my Luxury's left rear bottom. The left hose is the water drain to empty, the right hose is the overflow.

Thanks for the pic. I don’t have any thing like that, only large tank drain valve & two low point drains, one hot; one cold.
