That outlet say 50A and 125V, I have never heard of that before. So it concerns me.

Is there and label on the generator saying what it is? Do you have a voltmeter?

Is that the only outlet on the generator?

Is your camper 30A or 50A?

It's a 50A. the other outlets are standard 110 type.

Tell us the make/ model of the generator so we can look it up.

The 50a 120v (125v) outlet is uncommon (most use twistlock) although I have seen it before and it it wired exactly like a 30a R/V outlet except it is fed with a 50a breaker... BUT... we need to be sure!

I would start the generator and then with a Multimeter capable of reading 250 Volt AC check the terminals using the diagram below.

This will tell you if YOUR generator output is correct for an RV 50 amp service as you state yours is. Whenever there is an unknown with electrical outlets it's imperative to check before using. (use left diagram with voltages)

Just remember, it may be a "50 Amp" outlet but the total wattage from the generator will be limited to 5500 watts.
