Mel, our units are very similar, except the 33RL has an island, about 3' longer and with a gvwr of about 500 lbs higher. Overall, the 33RRL and the 29RE have similar specs. FWIW SimpleTire.com has the G614's for $272 each plus shipping of around $23 per tire, so roughly $1200 will get them to your door. Then figure about $100 to have them mounted and balanced. I've also gotten a quote from the local Goodyear store to do turnkey for $1588 including taxes, which is fairly competitive. I'm thinking seriously of staying local, which buys me an edge if I ever had trouble, plus I can control the tires age "before" they are installed. But Like you my existing tires are less than 2 years old and have less than 2000 miles on them, so I would like to get another year.

Just throwing this out ... I've ran Michelin LTX Ms2 265/75/R16's on my previous 3150RL Montana and now my 33IK Silverback and been totally satisfied. There's no doubt the G614's are an excellent choice as many of my frends run them on their heavier fivers with total confidence. They are simply more money than I need to spend based on my weight and RV lifestyle.

Dieselguy what ply are these tires. I've always liked Michelins. My 5er is a 24.7 so not a big one.

Discount Tire
About the same price at Discount Tire. I, like you, look to where I can get replacement quick. The price is balanced and installed. I have Michelin's on the truck; 2 years old. Look like never on the road. I always choose their tire care plan. HOWEVER, with the Goodyears, I believe the warranty is strong! Might choose balance and rotation only!

Papa-t ... tire size correction as I was confused with truck size. Fiver tires LT 235/85/R16's E rated at 3042/80psi. SilverbackMel ... sorry to stray from your thread.

Is there any other way to tell if the wheels will work?
I just don't want to end up paying $3 grand to buy tires AND wheels.

The max PSI is stamped on the inside/inward part of the wheel, usually on one of the spokes. You don't have to break the tire down to see this. Just have to crawl under it and see if you can see it. If not, (the brake drum may block your view) you'll have to take the tire/wheel off to see it.

Is it stamp mark close to the hub? Or closer to the rim?

You MUST ensure your wheels are rated for 110psi max. Putting 110psi on 80psi wheels is like putting roughly ten lbs. of crap in a 7.27lb. bag, but more dangerous. I've been researching Sailun tires. They have a good rep and have a specific ST rated tire for your application.

If you had e tires, then your rims should be fine to go to g.
I had e, and this spring, will be putting on Samson g tires.

Okay, I went out and climbed underneath the camper....again...lol. These are the markings I found;
SR003A
A314
ET+0
SRWheels
DOT-T
16x6J
Max 3200lbs
These markings were mostly on the spokes, but nothing with 80, or 110, or psi.
One day when it cools off a little I'll pull a wheel. It was over 70 degrees here today and high humidity....lol.

Could be anywhere between the hub & wheel surface. Depends on wheel manufacturer. It's a stamping or casting.

At max 3,200lbs, those have to be LR-E wheels. By comparison, Sailun LR-G tires are rated to carry 4,020lbs at 110psi. I think you'll find the GYs are similar in LR-G.

GY614's are G rated tires at (according to the salesman at the GY store) 14 ply however, reading the info in the sidewall, I came up with 10. Maybe I missed something or misunderstood.

The Goodyear G614 RST tire is unique. It comes in a single size, LT235/85R16G. It is a steel cased regroveable tire for trailer service only. It requires a single rim size (16x6.5") for high pressure tires. The rim width of 6.5" is the only width Goodyear publishes for the G614.

I'm not a tire expert, so I called Goodyear this morning. I asked about the suitability of the G614 tires on a 16x6 wheel. The technical person I spoke with said that GY recommended 6.5" wheels, but the tire would work with 6"-7.5" wheels. Also, when I study GY's load inflation table, it appears that I do not need 110 psi, but that 90-95 psi would be the right pressure for my fiver.
My goal with the G614's is getting a reliable tire that I can have confidence will not go boom on the interstate at 8pm in the rain. I have virtually zero confidence in these Chinese tires we all get stuck with when buying a new trailer. I never leave home without verifying that my tires have 80 psi in them, yet I have changed many of them alongside the highway.....some with just a few hundred miles on them. The passenger side can be difficult due to narrow shoulders, but change a drivers side tire when inconsiderate drivers are racing a foot or so from your Heinee at 80 mph. Sure makes for exciting times.
I hate the damn china bombs with a passion....ugh

Discovery is fascinating. I had sent an email to Goodyear just prior to calling them in regards to rim width for the G614 tires. The verbal response I got was just as I shared above, however, the written (email) response is just as one would expect, and just as Airdale stated. 6.5" only.
So, now, along with $1500 worth of tires, I would need to purchase $800 in rims. Does this S*!%# ever end? LoL

I bit the bullet and put the G614's on my new Cardinal 3250. The Marathons had about 500 miles on them. Painful to spend the money plus I changed the spare as well. I figured better safe than sorry!
