Are there any better ways of securing the 4 refrigerator/freezer doors for travel? The rubber straps across the doors installed by FR for the delivery to the west coast chaffed the doors so badly I rejected them at PDI and had them all replaced. I have tried wrapping them with microfiber towels but this seems like a mickey mouse way to secure them. I have seen a screw in device on other brands of refrigerators/RV's, so I thought I'd seek some other ideas.

Thanks for the tip! Found some plastic flip over cabinet locks & installed easily with 3m adhesive backing, so far seem to do the job.

Joe, We have your same fridge & had the same problem. Most all of our trips involve going over mountain passes with lots of switchbacks. We had gotten to the point of only having things in the drawers & door shelves. Otherwise the doors would pop open - even using the braces inside. If what you are trying doesn’t solve your problem, I highly recommend checking out the Fridge Fixer at www.recubed.solutions. Once we got it, the problem is complete solved!

The best thing that I have found is double sided velcro. One side sticks to the other. Use it to tie all of the handles together to prevent the doors from opening. I also use the cheap expandable spring loaded curtain rods from WalMart inside the fridge. They cost about $1.oo each. I use as many as 3 on each shelf to prevent stuff from falling out when the doors are open.
