Smile Newbie questions

Hi, Been looking around here for a while. Had a TT for the past 5 years and just got a 2004 Cardinal 5th wheel a couple of months ago. Had knee replacement surgery and haven't even tried to pull it yet.
A couple of questions are the two handles on the drivers side in the under storage compartment are the waste valves I assume. Front to back which is the black water.
Another question is with the two recliners, when retracting the slide for travel do you just have to slide the 2nd recliner in front of the door.
Thanks for your answers, know these are basic questions but much different than the old TT I had.

That's how our 2004 29WB worked. Got tired of climbing over it. We moved the love seat out and moved one recliner into the slide where it had been. We rarely had company inside - most always sat outside!

If you can see any PVC pipes and valves below, the black water should be the larger pipe/valve. If you can't and are 100% sure the tanks are empty, you could run a faucet, open a valve with a bucket at the drain and see if the water comes out.

If you aren't sure the tanks are empty, then I'd do this at a dump station to avoid surprises.

Some rigs have two grey tanks, one will be for the kitchen and the other the shower and vanity. If you only find one pull handle and the kitchen sink and shower are on a common wall then you probably only have one grey tank.

Thanks for both replies. TT was easy on the valves as the pull handles were at the sewer connection. I thought about running water and then trying, guess that is what I will do.
Was wondering if there was a way I didn't notice about pulling the slide in without having to block the door. Not a big deal, just a little inconvenient. Like you said most of the time we sit outside. Looking forward to taking it out for a long weekend soon.
Thanks again for the replies.

"Had knee replacement surgery and haven't even tried to pull it yet."

Wow even without knee surgery, I wouldn't try pulling it, I'd use a truck!

Have another newbie question. We can change the window blinds from day to night but have to figured out how to raise them to see out the window and get fresh air. Thanks for any responses, hate to be so dumb, but I don't know.

There should be 2 metal bars on each shade. Lift the top metal bar up as far as you want the shade up, then lift the bottom bar up. These shades are best done one section at a time. A lot of shades are too tight and difficult to raise and lower. At the lower corner of each window there should be 2 round things that look like sewing machine bobbins. Strings from shades run to those. Supposedly you can adjust the tension on the curtains by turning those. I've never done it, I leave that to DH so if it breaks it's his job to fix or replace
