Satellite receiver placement

Question may be premature. We recently ordered a new 3456rlx. After thinking back and reviewing photos I realized I’m not sure where you would place the satellite receiver. The living room tv looks like it is attached to the wall though I’ve seen a picture with it raised to show some small storage. Shelf below tv doesn’t look wide enough. Where do you place it?

I have three. In livingroom near TV. In the kitchen near TV and bedroom on wall behind TV.

I have a 3350rlx. I placed my sat receiver on the shelf below the TV, next to the DVD player. It's not a very deep shelf, but a strip of double stick velcro keeps it in place. Has never bounced off going down the road.
