I’ve never had a hose included with any RV, just use a cutting from a cheap garden hose or buy a length of hose from Home Improvement store and attach male hose barb.

I don’t know about your Cardinal but my Wildcat came from the factory with the end of the antifreeze suction hose sticking out of the wall of my inlet/valve bay.

My XLR also came with a 16” hose attached to a 3 way valve with 1/2” MPT end. My valve was installed backwards from the factory, I had to remove it and reinstall the correct way so it would work.

You attach piece of garden hose to fresh water inlet, and set the panel knobs to winterize.
Using the pump will suck a/f from inlet and pump to all fixtures as well as bypassing water heater.

I believe you mean the "city water" inlet.

Also one thing I found interesting in the PDF from that link.
I've seen this advice given many times on this forum. Never knew it wasn't good advice.

There is only 1 water inlet. Fresh/city same thing?

Most trailers have 2. The fresh water inlet can look the same as the city water inlet or it can be gravity fill.
Fresh water inlet fills the fresh water tank.
City water inlet bypasses the tank.
Here are some examples of each.

We have a 2018 Cardinal, attach it to the city water inlet, place the valves in the wet bay to winterize, and place the other end of the hose into the antifreeze jug. At the top left of the wet bay, turn on the onboard pump to suck the antifreeze into the unit.

We are talking about a 2018 cardinal. Not just any trailer. There are no gravity fills on current cardinals.

No there is only one potable water inlet along with a black tank flush. The wet panel valves have specific instructions showing positions for fill or to use onboard water for boondocking.

Got it now.
it's still referred to as the city water inlet in the instructions though. Which was my original point.
