Awning issue

Went to roll awing up stopped 6 inches shoet of full retract. Its like motor dead will not extend or retract now in the stuck condition. Suggestions. Later RJD

Does it have a place to attach a drill? Most have a way to extend / retract when the motor fails. Your owners manual for the awning will tell you what to do.


What is the make and model of your awning?

Can you see the arms binding on anything?

We once had a manual awning where one of the kids put a 'Hot Wheels' car in the awning arm and when we closed it up, the car got jammed in the awning arm, the awning wouldn't move and we had a heck of a time figuring that one out.

Have you had someone pull on the awning arms or try to turn the roller tube while someone presses the open button?

Well ended up using a 12 mm socket and rachet to get the rest of the way up. Be leave it or not it was the only manual that did not come in the paper work. I know its not a Domenic awning. camper now at dealer. Later RJD

Ok got camper back from dealer so now awning now works again. It was a connection that came loose inside where the plug the motor in to power. It came unplugged so easy fix. Awning is a solara. Great dealer for taking care of customers. Later RJD
