Hello we are looking at the Oasis 25 rs as well. Wife likes the kitchen up front and our 12 year old is asking for her own space which the bunks provide. Our tow vehicle is a 2013 Silverado V8 5.3 liter with 1583 lbs tcombined weight of occupants and cargo. Looking at the 4 point equalizer hitch 10k capacity. With sProgressive Industries PT30c 30 amp portable electrical management system and quality water pressure regulator I believe we are good to go. Local dealer asking 20k for a 2016. Does anyone know if a second year warranty can be purchased for this trailer from Forest River?

You can get a 2nd year warranty, but I'm not sure of the cost...$200-$250? Just curious where you're looking for $20k? Without knowing where you're located, the dealer in Indiana where I purchased my 25BH is asking in the $16's. You may want to shop around. http://www.mountcomfortrv.com/defaul...ils&id=1356046

Hello Roadmaven. Well here in Salt Lake City the dealer had one for 20K which does seem high as i have seen them for much less in other states. i have read here that the second year warranty costs $150.00 but is not offered on all Forest River models. I would need to find out. Love that 25BH model. It may be a plan B for us. Thanks!

The 25BH isn't a bad Plan B. Back in January, we too looked at the 25RS initially and then found the 25BH online, as our dealer didn't have one. We liked the fact it DIDN'T have a slide (one less thing to break!), it had better kitchen counter space, and it's cheaper, while still having the same bathroom, bunks, dinette, and front bedroom as the 25RS. Even with upgrading to the ducted AC, oven, outside shower, full size top bunk, electric awning, and even the upgraded wheels (they put on the aluminum rims that come on the Flyte for us), we still got out with a price of about $13,800.

Here's a lengthy walk-thru we took of ours, since there aren't many 25BH videos out on YouTube: http://youtu.be/E1LYmMW6nvg

Hello again. Yup enjoyed that walkthrough. Will have my wife look at it too. Agree that a slide can be one more potential problem. For the 3 of us it would work just fine. Thanks Pat for the info!
