A-frame roof weight

Anybody know the difference in roof weight of the A-frame camper Model A122 as opposed to A215?

The A12x models have a 12ft long box, the A21X models have a 14ft box, and therefore a longer, bigger, heavier roof. Those A21X models with dormers add a likely 100lbs for the dormer.

Overall, comparison of dry weights of the campers should tell the tale of the weight differences between similar models. I know my T21TBHW weighs about 600lbs more than my A122 did. But it doesn't isolate the roof weight differences. Why is the roof weight important?

With 40# gas struts on the rear roof, it will lift easily by hand. And it will stay where you put it, part way up or down. There are many threads in the A-frame forum about installing the gas struts, even by me. Easily searchable. After installation, you no longer need the electric lift. Because I'm short, I use an expandable boat hook with rubber tips to push/pull the roof up/down. Much faster than the electric lift, too.
