A Frame Window Insulation

Has anyone added insulation around their bubble window frames? Do you put reflective insulation in the window? I was in ours and could feel the heat coming through/around the plastic frame.

We've not added any type of insulation. The heat does come through the bubble windows. We just shut the shades to help keep the direct sunlight out.

The A-frame campers as a whole don't keep the heat out as you can feel the heat on the inside of the roof coming through on any hot day when the sun is out. Same holds true on cool/cold evenings as the inside of the roof gets cold.

I suppose you could cut to size and add reflectix insulation on the inside of the bubble windows to help with the heat but not sure how effective that would be considering you'd be fighting against the heat added by the two huge roof panels that basically act as baking sheets.

Good thing our A-frames come with pretty good AC units and an excellent roof fan!!

Yes just added reflectix this weekend and worked great while boondocking at a festival without any shade, also doubled for some extra noise reduction. With a little creativity and duct tape one 10' x 48" roll was able to cover all the windows!

I made covers for my windows when it is in storage, I found when I am camping and the sun is hitting the windows, I can cover them and it cut down the heat and windows do not get so hot.
As you can see the back side have a soft thick batting. The Hardware is put on with rivets from the inside out. I do have to take them off when traveling as the wind flaps them.

Good idea 1A Camper. I was thinking something similar but with an old space blanket.
