Packed up the A frame and off on a short 5 hr drive over the Columbia Gorge to a weekend of dog shows. Thought I'd share a few pictures of my drive. The Gorge (as locals call it) is amazing view of the river. Alongthe way is the Ginko petrified forest, wild Horse lookout and view of Mt St Helen once you crest the 'hills'.
The Gorge is extremely windy and great to see it is used fir energy - lots of these wind turbines dot the landscape near the top. I love this trestle - used to tell my son we were "entering the land of dinosaurs" as we'd pass under it....ah - the things you say to kids to make the drive seeem more interesting. Harvest happened weeks ago - lots of wheat and hay grown in this region as well as corn potatoes and onions.
I love the tow mirrors on my Titan - look at that view of my trailer...oh I mean the Columbia River...LOL
