Finally got snow in our city. Took a pic of my rig, I wonder how high the snow will be before it becomes a problem on my rig?

LOL in the past few days I hear a faint noise when I go out and back in my house. I tried to find out where it was coming from and it was my trailer beeping. I figure it is the low battery signal in the smoke alarm. So now every time I go out and pass by my trailer, it is teasing me, asking me to take it out soon...I guess 2 more months before I could unwrap my trailer and replace the battery. I have updated my storing the trailer check list to take the battery out next time.
I already stop thinking about my trailer for the past several weeks and that beeping noise got me back to thinking about my next RV trip.
Winter please be over soon and I hope that beeping sound ends soon too! LOL

My guess?
The beeping noise will end when your main battery hits 6 volts and you need to buy a new one or the battery in your smoke or CO detector dies completely and leaks.
In either case, I would not wait till Spring.

The main battery of the trailer is disconnected and stored in my house. Can the CO beep w/o the main battery? If not then it is the smoke alarm for sure, which will beep until the 9 volt battery drains. With the snow on cover it will take too much work to silence my trailer. LOL

Both the CO and smokes use 9 volt alkaline batteries.

I did not know that, is this true in the Aframe? Will it damage the CO when the battery dies? Maybe I'll here 2 beeps soon.

Looks like I don't have a CO detector in the trailer. I thought the LP detector that came with the rig does CO too. Well thanks for making me aware to get a CO detector for next time.

had the same problem with my unit when it was sitting in the dealers lot awaiting repair .. who i will never go back to ...
anywho .. that noise is from your smoke detector at the mid peak area ... towards the back of the unit ... cheap batteries are the culpurt .. as mine went off about 1.5 yrs after purchase ..
no issues .. dont worry ... the 9volt battery is probably frozen solid by now ... and should never leak through the casing ... if it ever leaks ...
i dont think i have ever seen a leaking 9vlt in my life ... and trust me ... i had alot of radios in my earlier life ..
d-mo

.....still beeping....gives me a smile when I hear it. I'll check if the smoke alarm have both when I uncover my rig this spring.
We had a major snow storm yesterday and the weatherman said that the last time we had this was 2008. After yesterday's snow storm:
Well if we have a couple of snow storm days, I can imagine my rig will be covered completely.

My A126 beeped most of last winter, was the smoke alarm. Removed the smoke alarm battery this winter, no beeps.

Smoke detector is on the rear roof panel. The CO detector is down by the power center and includes the LP Detector

That is what I thought, thanks for the confirmation. I have a CO detector at home and it has a life of 5 years only, I wonder if the one on our rig have the same limitation and have to be replaced in the future.

Good question. Most home CO units have a limited life span so I would imagine campers do as well.

Just a reminder to check your stored batteries if they require charging. I have over 8 SLA batteries and I have to top up their charge. The trailer battery was down to 12.4v and after charging 12 hours it got up to 13.4v; after a day it settled to 13v:
I used a slow charger and unplugged if after the charged light turned on. I'm paranoid of over charging the batteries. I have wrecked 2 of my ebike batteries because the auto shut off failed.
Remember to recycle your dead SLA batteries

Almost 5 months since my last trip and all I could do is wait for the snow to melt, plan my next trips and buy stuff for the RV:
I just ordered a Champion 2K from Costco.ca
On the trips I do want to store this GEN in my SUV or on the roof. It is over 50 lbs so putting it in the front storage will add too much weight and I'm on max tongue weight limit already. Is it ok to put it in the trailer? Where do you put it safely?
I think thehamguy1 ordered this GEN last month, have you tried/test it out and any tips unpacking/starting it?
Maybe 2 more weeks before I could unwrap my rig, hopefully no surprises!
