Aftermath of frozen a-frame

Late last year I posted about freezing our a-frame. Unfortunately the system says I can't reply to that post but I wanted to follow up. You can search for it. Bottom line, an early cold snap in Montana froze our a-frame. Lucky I had drained it but it wasn't fully winterized.
So the final word....thought I would let you know. The only damage was the water filter! Good news! I used a pex fitting and crimped the hoses that normally go to the filter together ( we don't drink from the rv anyway) and all is well. I will definitely be more careful and winterize earlier this year but thank goodness I couldn't find any other damage. Thanks again for all the help. Next project is to somehow plumb in an air chuck to blow out the system.

Thanks for the "Follow up." Glad that damage was VERY minimal. Hey...don't feel bad as things can popup fast on ya and you're not always ready.

You need a blow out valve, takes just a few minutes to blow out the system.
