Charging Battery at Home

I have a Rockwood A122S which is now sitting at home in my driveway. I have run down the battery a bit by forgetting to turn off an interior light. As a result, I am wondering which would be the more efficient way for me to charge the battery, i.e. use my 2 amp trickle charger or just hook up the shoreline? ( I seem to recall reading that by hooking up the shoreline the converter will charge the battery.?)

Just plug in the camper and leave it plugged in. Mine stays plugged 24/7 while parked at home except over the winter when the batteries are removed..

Trickle charge will only maintain your battery, plug in your TT & charge it up. A battery charger is also a good investment.

You need a good, high voltage bulk charge to bring back a badly depleted battery...your converter will do this and a trickle charger will not...so plug right into the house.

I have a HF solar set up on mine . It keeps the battery's charged Year around without plugging into shore power. Is always ready to go. I have a Rockwood Freedom. Panels are mounted on racks on top.

I have a 30 amp set up conveiently so its plufged in all the time at home. A si.ple solution is a small compact solar panel that sits on the fround nwct to your RV, thus full batteries free with a trickle charge.

I got tired of running a power cord to the trailer, so I dug a trench from my house and installed a 30 amp box on a small post next to my trailer and always plug it in upon returning from trips. I use my trailer year round and this is the easiest way to maintain the battery and I can also use the trailer while it parked.

Plug your trailer in all the time...don't worry about all the fluff....
If you need to recharge...it will do it....if it needs to just float the batteries...it will do it...
Bottom line....come home...unhitch...and plug in.
If you have a battery cutoff...cut the battery's from souce.

Theres no need for s 30A connection just to charge and maintain the batteries. Plugging into a standard 120V house outlet will work just fine.
