Cleaning bubble windows on a Flagstaff A Frame Camper
Does anyone know how to clean tree sap off the bubble windows on a Flagstaff A Frame camper? I tried Plexus with a microfiber cloth, hot soapy water and Dawn and then Plexus again, but nothing seems to get the windows clean. Now, the windows are starting to cloud up from the tree sap. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Jim DiFazio
Rubbing alcohol works for getting sap off,(test it fist to make sure it does not effect the Plexiglas) if you put it on a cloth and let it sit for a couple of minutes it will soften the sap and allow you to rub it off.
Try naptha or lighter fluid. It will dissolve the sap. Then use "FLITZ" metal polish to polish the DOME. The "FLTZ" polish will remove the dull finish.

We recently sold our Alite 400 and as part of detailing it, I went over the bubble window with an automotive headlight cleaning kit and the results were amazing.
I have not had as good a result with headlights, they seem to cloud up again within a year, but the window was spectacular.
When my kids were little (all boys) and got pine sap in their hair I'd use peanut butter to dissolve it.
Might want to test it on a spot near a corner first.

Is there a trade name for the headlight cleaner you used? Those bubble windows are very easily scratched and I want to be real careful what I use on them. I also like the fact that it will clean the cloudiness off.
Thanks,
