Unhappy Cleaning Skylights

We have a Flagstaff T21QBHW with two skylights in the front and a large one in the rear. The rear skylight is still clear and we can easily see through it. The front skylights have gotten very cloudy looking much like we see on automobile headlights. I suspect that since that are on the leading edge of the roof as we go down the roof, they may have been abraided by the wind and the debris in the wind. Then again, they may be dirty, but we can't seem to wash anything off.

Does anyone know of a way to clean and/or restore the skylights so we can see through them again?

Try Novus 7100 plastics cleaner kit. (On Amazon) Used this on 10 year old Aliner skylights and brought them back about 80%

I tried Mineral Spirits on mine with no luck. I've been thinking about buying a commercial headlight restoration product. Looking forward to hearing suggestions on this post.

Thanks for the info about the Novus 7100 plastics cleaner kit. I'll try it.

Mine are the opposite - the rear skylight is cloudy to the point I would say translucent.

This happened during just the second year of ownership. Actually in my case I could originally see what appeared to be tiny grooves throughout the acrylic, "micro-cracks" I once posted about, that did not extend all the way through it. I could never think of a cause for it. There was no significant physical abrasion I'm aware of. I tried a headlight plastic polish-type substance last year, and I think that just made it worse.

Maybe I'll now try the Novus suggestion. Otherwise I am inclined to find a professional to try to restore it if the cost is not exorbitant. If anyone has done THAT I would like to hear about it.

Try Rust-oleum Wipe new. Used it on some pretty bad headlights and it worked great. Cleared them up 80%. I used on our MH skylight and it was about the same, About 80%. Big improvement.

Wouldn't this scratch/score the windows? Apparently not if you've done it, but that's about the last thing I would've thought to try.
