DIY rolling cart with table top for dinette?

I've been looking at a table replacement for our 2017 a213HW. I once saw a post about adding a tabletop to a 3-tiered rolling cart but can't find it again - and I have looked. Has anyone done this and been sucessful? Out table is 1) too large 2) too heavy 3) PIA to put up and take down 4) too tall. Thanks in advance.

Just some pointers - we went a different route, and put a single post to support the dining table, plus a support on the front wall. Addressing your points:
  1. table is too large. If you make it smaller, you can no longer use the dinette as another bed. The table is sized to fit in the foot well between the seats. We do use the dinette as a bed about half time, so size could not be altered.
  2. too heavy. Agreed - made from particle board and or heavy plywood. Framed construction would allow a lighter table top. However, this would limit knee room even more, especially if table top in the raised position is lowered.
  3. PIA to put up/take down. My primary objective was to get rid of the stock folding legs, which took up a lot of space under the table, both folded and open. The table was too big, heavy and awkward to take out of the A-frame to use outside, so that functionality was no longer needed.
  4. too high. I thought it was too low. Normal kitchen table height is 28-30 inches. I wanted at least 28 inches.
See https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...od-211747.html for what I did. Best of success with your intended mod.

We went thee same way as pgandw (thanks for the inspiration) a couple of years ago and are very happy with it. We did not attach to the wall but the little bit of instability hasn’t been an issue for us. My ice does the inside set up and finds this way easier than the original folding legs.
