Electric Skillet

An Idea-
I have been using an electric skillet when we have "hook-ups", I enjoy the ability of keeping a steady temperature of my cookware. It also saves the propane for non-hook-up times.
Would show a photo of it in use but the picture on this forum does not work for me.

Jo, I like this idea. We have a new one in storage, for a long time, and never used. Mother-in-law give it to us. I've been thinking of adding it to our appliance inventory and getting some use from it.

Good idea! I can see ways an electric skillet could come in handy.

Regarding the picture issue - Are you using a smart device or computer to view the forum?

We use ours all the time. Breakfast is canned potatoes with chunks of precooked sausage paties. Brown it all up, pushing to the side of skillet and Crack the eggs on the other side. Add some salt and pepper and BAMMMM. Easy and hot breakfast that is simple to clean up

I use a skillet to cook bacon and crumble hamburger or scramble eggs.

Gotta like it!

When we camped in a pop-up we used our electric skillet outside a lot. We cook pancakes and bacon or sausage, chicken wings, any any number of other things. It is also great for heating wash water. We even would wash the silverware and dishes in it, rinsing in a small tub. You can heat soup in a pan set inside the skillet too.

We bought this one since it seemed like the right size, and we really like it. I did a "mod" on it, a few cuts and replaced the lid handle with a cabinet handle, so now the stand fully nests in the skillet for compact storage.
