Flagstaff 21TBHW lift issue

I have an early 2017 Flagstaff 21 TBHW and I love it. When I bought it, the lift actuator was dead, so I ordered a new one. When I press the extend button, it slowly raises but only to about 2 feet.

What could be the problem?

Would it hurt the actuator system if I allowed it to go up 2 feet and then manually pushed it the rest of the way?

Also, it appears that the top has been slightly racked as I have to push down hard on the roof to be able to lock the safety clips. Thanks in advance-

Welcome to the forum!

There's lots of information here regarding lifting.

I suspect one or both of the torsion springs may be broken. There is one on each end underneath a curtin. Front is over the table, back is above the bed.

There are threads on replacement if so.

But it could be something else.

If it is stopping and not trying to lift higher and not making any noise you
could lower and remove the lift actuator then attempt to manually raise the roof.It is easier with a person on each side but one can do it.If it can be raised
fairly easy the torsion springs should be ok.You can not manually raise roof without removing actuator.

I think I might have to just go the way of a manual lift. It's less complicated, lol!

Thanks for this, I won't try to lift the roof with actuator in place 😊
