Looks like a great way to spend some time together. My DW and I are having our second honeymoon at Henderson Beach State Park campground in Destin Fl. This is our first time camping alone! People and family always want to come along. This is only our sixth time camping in our new trailer, also our first. Towed it 600 miles to get to Florida. Kind of a stressful drive down here as this is all new to me but these forums have been a tremendous help preparing me for owning an RV. Congrats to you both and may you make many great memories together.
Jim

Very cool! My wife and I went tent camping for our one year anniversary . We even had a small cake made that matched our wedding cake and ate that by the fire. We FROZE dearly while we were outside because I was convinced we'd be roasting outside in early June. We only had shorts and short-sleeves up in the mountains! We went to a near by campground to their store and bought her a sweatshirt.

We never made out to Shady Maple. We did all our own cooking on site. Between homemade crab cakes, BBQ ribs, grilled chicken and much more we couldn't find a reason to leave the campgrounds.
