and the bike rack itself works fine.
The problem exists with how it is mounted to the camper frame/bumper.
I drilled some holes and added steel right angle to a mounting plate,
all fastened with bolts and nuts. It worked fine for 3 years until I had to
pull out of a gas station that had a "ravine style ditch" at the exit. Some of
the weld bead cracked where the bumper meets to the frame, and I
had a welder make welding repairs and reinforce the bumper with new
supporting plates, also welded.
It is working good, again, but my advice is to have a welder add some
steel and fabricate a mount that will be strong from the start.
I would also advise light weight bicycles only, as there is tremendous stress
imposed to that area, and it is not designed for that.
