New shower canopy!

Carl (our A-frame camper) has a new shower canopy!! We got it delivered today and set it up with only a couple of minor head-scratches. I can now shower or use the toilet in privacy!

It is PahaQue Tepee tent. Got it from amazon.com.

that is adorable! Mine is a pop up Trekker bought from Cabelas...its a bear to twist up, so thinking of buying matching brand to my toilet..lesson learned in buying 'cheap'. Haha I too, love the moon!! Does that have pockets and hanger loops inside? skylight is nice!

Thank you! We looked at the Trekker, but decided to go with one that has somewhat of a floor for those times we'll be without shower facilities. It's not a hard floor, but it'll keep the dirt off my feet. (She says with crossed fingers!!)

It does have hooks and accessory bags (one mesh, one plastic).

Yes, Riverdaze, there are tie-downs, stakes, all the necessities to keep it grounded!! Wouldn't that be a hoot to end up in Oz after a shower!

ROFL - well...seeing your new shower was just the nudge I needed to splurge on getting the accompanying privacy tent to the portable dry toilet for our A-Frame outings...... the Trekker shower tent now moves to our truck camper.

At least the Clean Waste Pett privacy tent won't have me cursing or chasing it when I attempt to fold it up (like the Trekker does) haha

This is all your fault Debbie! ;-) First the gear box, now the upgraded shower tent...oh And I also ordered that pizza bag for the BAL Leveler as well as an RV battery locking clamp ....

Spring better get here fast, as I am bound to purchase another luxury item soon....haha!

Well, it arrived...I set it up in the backyard with Carey coaching me to apply more force than I thought necessary (ahh...but it was...smart man!). Here is the new privacy room to replace the Trekker, for the A Frame...it went up pretty fast. Its all connected (one piece) and the pole supports just snap and lock into place using the push springs attached on the pole. The flaps at the bottom allow a heavy object to be placed on top, to help secure if unable to stake it down. It all fits into a backpack carry bag and weighs 18 lbs altogether. The truck camper gets the Trekker shelter along w/matching camo green Cleanwaste toilet....I'll keep the white one that came with the new shelter.

We're trying to decide between the PaHaQue and the Cleanwaste, but wondering FarFromStock if you considered or also ordered the drain capture floor for the PaHaQue? And if so and had a chance to try it, how well it works? Others threads have mentioned the issue of run-off requirements at many sites plus it might just keep the area around the trailer clean & dry. I can't find anything similar for the Cleanwaste shelter although there are certainly other ways to handle the run-off.

We are considering the capture, but our upcoming camping trip allows run-off. So we'll just use the nylon floor that came with the canopy to keep our feet off the dirt and decide after that if we will get the capture.

Just wanted to report that the Cleanwaste privacy tent has far exceeded our expectations for performance. It went up as easy as the video shows. It really got a workout this weekend. We knew we'd have high winds but never expected the entire day from 6 am to 7 pm to have periodic gusts of 50 mph blow in. We staked it down and left the toilet inside. I watched the tent bend and sway as 20-30 mph battered it all day yesterday and when the 40 mph gusts stabbed it, it yielded but held to the ground...and today hands down, has my vote for durability.

I was happy because even tho the restrooms were close, with the wind and drizzle, close is only relative to how far I want to walk....a few steps beside my trailer or a few short minutes to the real bathroom. I opted for the Cleanwaste tent. One bag solidified 5 pees, but I think it couldve done more. Its amazing stuff - absorbing and gelling the urine & zero odor. It ziplocks into a second bag and is tossed into the garbage can. Easy peasy.

Hi Tom! It took longer to pound in the stakes than it did to set it up! Take down was just as quick. I didnt use the stakes it came with (never even opened the bag to look) I jist used the ones I normally use with my canopy.
