Outside antenna mount

I've been using this antenna set up for over a year and it's worked great for me. I bought a HF trailer spare tire mount and bought a u-bolt to go through were the tire bolts would mount, I'm a retired power lineman so the pole was an old fiberglass extinction pole that I found while working but two sets of u-bolts one set mounted high and one lower on the tire mount with a extecion painters pole would work. If I ever add an extra battery I plan on moving this to the rear bumper, just before someone says anything I do not travel with the antenna in place lolClick image for larger version

Nice! Something like this could also be adapted to hold a large shade umbrella.

I'm liking the unbrella ideal, I'll definitely give that some thought. I always like it when someone can think outside my box and make it better!

Those are some outside sun shades I made for the bubble windows, they allow for some light without the heat build up that you get when putting something up to block the inside of the windows in extreme summer heat. I have an earlier post that shows how I made them.
