Power Tongue Jack

Has anyone installed a Power Tongue Jack that has a wheel instead of a platform bottom. We have to unhitch to roll our camper into the garage. We have a T19QBHW.

By installing a wheel to the tongue jack you risk the trailer moving when you want it stationary. look at this alternative.
Ultra-Tow Extreme-Duty Adjustable Trailer Dolly, Model# TMD-1000C | Trailer Dollies| Northern Tool + Equipment

There are also less expensive models available.

What kind of camper are you talking about? Is this a PUP? Anything bigger than a PUP would be hard to roll even with the dolly in the previous post.

When I had a PUP, back in the day, I had something similar to these:

Trailer Wheel Dock - Camco 44632 - Tongue Jacks - Camping World

BAL Tongue Jack Caster Wheel - BAL 29041B - Tongue Jacks - Camping World

You might be able to find them elsewhere but these are an example. You can leave the wheel on the jack and store the yellow chock under a seat. That way you can have them handy where ever you go. I have had to move my PUP within a site before and the wheel sure made it easy. Just be sure you are not on an incline situation or the camper can get away from you pretty easy!

I use a trailer valet.

Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover - Topwind - 15" Lift - 500 lbs Trailer Valet Trailer Jack STC-V211

Pricy, but I already had one for our boat and only had to buy another mounting bracket.

I was able to do a 180 degree turn around with our A213HW in a campsite that was only about 26' wide. I sometimes use an adapter that allows me to attach my cordless drill rather than having to crank it by hand.

It works fine as long as you can get traction.

I use a trailer dolly like the one posted by JoeNic. It works great, the 3rd wheel really makes maneuvering and turning easy. Much better than the 2 wheel version.

We also have the three-wheeled trailer dolly. We have to angle our A frame camper in and out of the garage and it is much, much easier with the dolly.

Yes, I have a wheel on my power tongue jack. Yes, it takes a lot of muscle to pull it out and push it back into my garage. That 3-wheel trailer dolly looks like it would work very nicely, but then it's another piece of junk I need to store .. somewhere .. when it's not in use. Gonna have to think about that.

We take our dolly apart and store it under the camper.

JoeNic, we went to Northern Tool and purchased a dolly....good investment for us because of our driveway. Our local RV dealer ordered us a wheel for the power Jack. The camper is finally back in the garage. Thank you again!

Back to square one. I guess we got the wrong size dolly...we are on the 3rd wheel for the tongue Jack...nothing seems to be fitting. The dolly we purchased kept coming off the ball. Heading back to Northern Tools for a larger dolly. OYO your link looks interesting and might be our next avenue. Thank you! We are open for help please.

You should be able to find a wheel for your tongue jack. Nothing special about them just held on with pin. Sorry you are not closer, I have one lying around,

Bobfly, thank you! I think we have successfully got a wheel that will work. Took us four tries. Now to master my backing skills. My husband can't drive anymore. I will get it...with practice. Thanks again!
