Price Check T12rbst

Picking up my first pop camper in Atlanta tomorrow!! (I've been in a tent for the last 20 years). Then its off the beach for its maiden voyage.

Flagstaff 2014 T12 RBST $11,500. Includes additional propane heater installed by the dealer monoxide detector.

Is this an ok deal? Your comments / feedback is welcomed.

I think price is variable due to regional freight charges. Doesnt sound like a bad price at all.

Our toyhauler A-frame model was 12,495-. This price included the additional options: screen room, 20k btu forced air furnace & propane/carbon monoxide combo detector along with the standard options the unit was already loaded with.

See what prices are available locally to you. I couldve driven 3 days to a dealer who sold my model for 10,900...but that equates to a week om the road, gas and hotels to get there. Sorry, for the sake of saving freight, my time is worth more than that "savings". Haha

Stop second guessing yourself - if you already purcahased it, its alittle too late to wonder if you paid a fair price? Dont let the kernel of buyers remorse kick in - Congrats on your purchase! You're sure to enjoy it! Look forward to seeing photos of your adventures!!

Also check when it was manufactured. Manufactured in September or later of this year I believe it comes standard with a tan and black exterior and the stove is level with the inside counter.

Ditto about second guessing yourself. Now you need to get out and put it to good use.

We are about to buy an Aframe (Forest River). Cheaper in Wisconsin? Where? We are in Illinois. Would appreciate the info. Thanks in advance

Rockwood models are available at Jerry's Campers in Madison. They have been super people to deal with.

framer, Welcome to the A-frame community. I also tent camped for a long time and decided to ‘get of the ground’. I'm very glad I made the change. Like others have said, price varies depending on location. The best price for anyone is the best price within a reasonable drive.

Ditto on HOC!!
bought my Roo 23SS HTT from them over 7 years ago. drove all the way from Northern California to get it. saved us over $4,000, even after trip costs.
George is great to work with, though his wife thought we were crazy.

The prices do seem highly regional (probably due to distance from the factory). For some reason in my area Flagstaff seems to be higher priced than Rockwood and from my research that seems to be a decent price. The lowest I was able to get the a122s in CT was about $12k (the flagstaff model was about $500 more) however I was able to save about $2k by driving to northern VT to a high volume dealer.

I tried to match this price locally and was told that they couldn't because the price i was quoted was below what they could buy the trailer at and that I should jump on it. They didn't even try to talk me out of it or tout their superior service and value add.

Since it doesnt say where you are I am going to assume you are outside the Indiana region. In that case I'd say you got a decent deal. That seems on par or better than my local prices. If you are willing to drive to a high volume dealer you might be able to save $500 - $1k but there are risks and issues associated with that of course. For me it means making a weekend out of picking up the trailer. We are going to go up on a friday when the trailer comes in from the factory and then spend the night overnight there to make sure there are no issues. If we discover anything we then either have to hope the dealer is able to fix it the same day or hope the local rockwood dealer is able to take care of the issue for us under warranty without playing too many games as we didnt buy from them. I am not too concerned but it is something to consider.

Of course from the post it sounds like you already bought so a lot of this is moot. So I'd be happy you got a decent deal and enjoy your new toy. I am a bit envious. I am stuck in that window where I am waiting the few weeks for delivery of my new toy from the factory and am getting quite anxious to play with it.

Loki008 - congrats! In the meanwhile, ypu can start putting a pile together of the stuff you need to have inside your trailer...you can visit the past threads here as well as the other A-Frame forums on line so that you can better prepare your homecoming! Dont forget to post some photos and a report of how it all goes for you!
