Propane changeover stays green

Hi,

Should propane changeover regulator change to red after disconnecting the 2 propane tanks? Came back from a short trip and only used half tank of propane and everything was working fine. Wonder why it stays green even when after I disconnected both tanks.

I have a Cavagna 924N.

Thanks!!

As long as the propane lines are pressurized (nothing using propane) the indicator will stay green even with the tank valves closed.
You can turn off the propane bottles, ignite a burner on your stove or other propane appliance and you should see the indicator turn red.

Curious why you disconnected the cylinders. Only time mine get disconnected is when I pull them to get filled. Again, just curiosity.

Thanks NMWildcat. I will give it a try.

Hi Chuck_S,
I just don't want to store the tanks inside the garage where I store my popup. So I took them out and store them in my covered porch. That's all.
