Replace faucet?

This piece shot out of my faucet... made me jump lol. I despise the faucet on the camper and its always in the way. Has anyone changed theirs? Any recommendations?

I did put the piece back in but after a little use it shoots back out.

Just the airerator, you might find a replacement in plumbing section. Probably have to special order a new faucet to replace the old one. Or look around on Amazon and eBay.

Mine leaked at the handle. I just bought a new faucet from Home Depot for $15 or so and changed the whole thing out. It was not that difficult to do.

The piece you are holding in your hand (the aerator)... does it not screw into the faucet with threads?

Not trying to argue but I've never seen a faucet for $15 at HD.

Look closely at the photo- it's not your average over the counter faucet
like they have at HD or Lowes.

Might be an RV only of some sort??

Being this is posted in the A-Frame section, and from the photo, I'd bet too it's in a flip over sink of some sort.

Not saying you couldn't find one at HD/Lowe's but I'm doubting it.

That's also why I asked about the aerator being threaded.
I've not see one that isn't but then I've never been up close and personal with a faucet like in the photo.

The foldable faucets are available on eBay and Amazon. Probably other trailer catalogs/online sources.

The piece is not threaded. It has a oring to secure it in place.

Indeed it is a flip faucet in a aframe camper.

Im trying to think of a way to make it into a sprayer type faucet.

Decent home faucets can be had lota of places, and are generally a simple change out. Mine needed a couple of adapters that I also bought at Lowes, so srill a simple swap.

The standard height A-frames use low fixed faucets (looks like a cheap standard bathroom faucet). We rarely use the sink except to brush teeth, so it's no big deal. But the high walls use a flip faucet to provide clearance when walls are folded down.

If you are replacing the faucet, you will have to measure your clearance to determine what will fit and what won't. You may need to get another folding faucet if you want a high faucet when set up.

Oops, sorry. $20 bucks, not $15.

And yes, looking closer at the picture of his sink...what the heck is that?! lol

Is there a missing set screen maybe? Crazy that it would just be press fit with an o ring.

Do you plan on removing the glass cover ? I think that is why they went with the folding faucet. Nothing else would leave enough room to close the cover.

I wanted a swivel faucet with an extended head. This is what we replaced the original bathroom style faucet with. Its a utility faucet and was $20 at Lowes or Home Depot (can't remember which store?)

Every RV faucet I've ever seen is the cheapest faucet the builders can get...

Maybe not all A frames, but I have one just like it less the part in the middle that opens and closes the drain.

Look at the OP's sink it has the glass cover and no headspace betwen the faucet and cover. Unless you are going to remove or modify the cover those will not work.the faucet has to fold to fit . It is in the upright, not folded position in the photo. This faucet is a specialty item found in most marine supply houses.

Yes, mine is not like the one pictured. Mine is actually like you say, no drain pull.
