Replacing Stock Flat Vent Cover with Domed Cover?

I have a Rockwood A122S and the locking tab on the Fantastic Vent cover, that the hook connects to, broke off so I have to replace the cover. I was told by Dometic to replace with the dome cover instead of the flat cover. She said you dont even have to lock it because the wind does not affect it like the flat cover. That did not make any sense to me.

The flat cover is this, PN K4020-19

The Dome Cover is PN: K1020-19, but also needs the Lift Arm, K8011-05 to fit the higher cover

Has anyone ever exchanged the flat for the dome?

Do they understand the application? I could see this on a conventional application (flat roof hinges facing forward) but not on an Aframe.

agreed. wondering if there is any value going with the dome rather than the same flat one? if I go with the domed one I would also have to replace the lift arm because the domed needs the longer lift arm.
