Rockwood a122s

Just installed a solar panel on my hardside. Now I can't lift my ceiling panels. Does anyone know what gas strut I should use to give me extra lift?

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum. Unfortunately, I don't have a answer.

There is a separate A-frame forum. Perhaps one of the mods will be good enough to move this thread to that forum. There's of good info on roof raising and gas struts in the A-Frame forum.

I couldn't tell you the specifics for an A122, I just pushed up the roof panels by hand when I had one. I do have gas struts on my T21TBHW (same as A213HW), but that roof is much larger and heavier. I have 60# struts on front panel (part of my and factory's first experiment with gas struts), and 40# struts on rear panel (the final solution). The rear panel struts are far more important - without rear struts, the rear panel hangs from the front panel when raising/lowering. No solar panels on either of my A-frames.

Is it possible the solar wiring interferes in some way with the panel raising? Or the solar panel mounts interfere with the roof panels sliding past each other?
