Rockwood A212HW warranty info??

Does anyone have a link or information on what, exactly, is under warranty for the A212HW (or related campers)? Picking up my new unit in a cple days and the only thing the sales rep can tell me is that it has a 1 yr bumper to bumper.

After looking @ a couple of utube vids (The Great Outdoors RV) I learned the floor has a 25 yr, roof 5, appliances 2-3 (depending on mfgr), axle 10, side walls 2 yrs..

Are warranties unique per dealer or is this a Forest River mfg wty?

Once you pickup your unit you can email Forest River with your warranty question along with your VIN so they know what you have and they will give you all the details. Some of the info is also spelled out in the owners manual package you will receive from the dealer when you pickup. Forest River sets the various warranties, the dealer has no control over this all they do is the repairs.

What Sundancer said. In my packet of information there were owners manuals for the major end items in my camper, and each item had its own warranty information. If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend taking some time to go through each of the items to familiarize yourself with what you've got and how it all is supposed to work.

Some of the warranties require that you register your purchase information in order to get longer coverage. All info should be in the packet that you get at time of pickup.

What Bluepill said. There is also a one year extension in the packet from FR for $100. Get it. Every appliance and part has a different warranty so read through all the paperwork and info packets.

I found out back in September after I bought my 21FBRS that FR no longer does the extended warranty. Even my dealer didn't know about that change.

To elaborate on this, verify they provide you this info during the pre delivery check. Have them open the packet and go through each piece of equipment with you. Insist they locate and provide copies of anything that is missing. Since yours will be a newly delivered unit and not one that has been sitting on the lot awhile you should be in good shape.

The 2nd year FR factory warranty was discontinued, back in June.
Anything sold after June, doesn't qualify.

When you go through paperwork at delivery, insist the dealer provides you with a build sheet. One is shipped with every new unit. This is a multi part ( color) form that lists all the equipment installed in the new unit along with serial # and model. This will come in very handy when you have an issue with an appliance. Keep a copy in the trailer and one at home. When you order parts or ask questions, this information will be invaluable.

Well you lucked out since most haven't been able to get it since FR made the announcement in June.

Did they maybe stop it for 2018 model years? Mine is a 2017.

Either way, you are right, I lucked out.

Thanks. I'm picking up the unit in 2 days.

That's good to know. Is a build sheet something the dealer doesn't normally provide?
I got a santa fe 11 yrs ago and they really didn't go over anything back then. I want to do this differently this time. I'll be doing the walk thru in 2 days - this is the 2nd unit I'll be looking at. The original one was a 2018 but was on the lot a few months and there were too many defects so I told them I wanted one built. It's been 7 wks, about time.

Any more tips is appreciated

I had to request my build sheet too, and got a bit of push back for some reason. They finally produced it.

I bought my A Frame in July 2017 and I sent in the extended warranty and it was approved. One year bumper to bumper warranty. This is the first i heard of it being discontinued, I also lucked out.

2nd Year Warranty

It all depends on the build date. If it was built before the cut off date for the elimination of the second year warranty program then it still is available. If built after, then it is not available.
