Roof vent fan only works if fuse is at a certain angle

Hi,

I have a 2021 Rockwood A122s. When I was folding it down, I knocked the housing that holds the fuse, and while I cans crew it back in, it needs to be pushed in at a certain angle for the fuse to engage. It's almost like the metal housing needs replaced since it must not be making frequent contact. In picture four, it's the metal housing that the fuse sits in within the plastic cap.

I haven't the slightest how to find this part.

Help?

Moved thread from the General Tech and Repair section to the A-frame sub-forum for better help from other A-frame owners since this particular vent fan is probably only in folding trailers.

It's a simple auto glass fuse holder and simple to change but may require soldering. You might try these suggestions on your unit so the fuse cap sleeve fits tighter and makes better contact. Does it still have spring tension when inserted and the 1/4 turn to keep it in place?

I have a 2021 A-Frame Rockwood A122s. The fuse housing got knicked off when I was folding it down, and now it appears the fuse is not getting metal to metal contact, as it won't stay on any longer unless I am pressing it in.

Do I have to get an entire new fan? Or can I replace this housing? What I think I need is the new metal housing pictured here, but I've scoured the web and can't find the part.

Obviously the fuse must have contact at both ends for the current to flow. I suspect you knocked things out of alignment, however you say it will work if you press on it.

I would play around using some aluminum foil inside the end closest to the plastic end you press it in from. Maybe wrap just a bit of foil around the actual metal of the fuse to tighten the fit. It may take a few times to get things right. You may even need to do both ends. Just make the fuse fit snugly.
