First time posting:
I purchased a T12RB about 3 months ago.
The size 24 battery was a little weak, I wanted to install dual batteries but the angle brackets did not look strong enough to hold 2.
While looking for alternative mounting options I came across the RVlockbox, they have 2 options, double 24, and double 27.
I measured and the 27 would just fit behind the LP tanks on top of the trailer frame.
I ordered a flat black double 27 case, and purchased 2 size 27 deep cycle batteries from Home Depot.
The lockbox comes with install hardware, 4 self tapping screws and battery dunnage.
I did not want to drill into the frame, I also did not want to use U-bolts.
Thought about welding brackets but in the end decided to use the existing brackets.
instead of the included hardware I used five 6" long 1/4 inch fasteners, secured them to frame with 2 nuts, and used steel angle bracket to support the rear of the box where the trailer widens.
Since I used my own hardware, I ended up using some lattice trim as a bottom to clear the fasteners and support the batteries.
I will update the tray and the straps in the near future.
Once the box was installed the LP tanks cover barely slid in, I had to loosen the bottles but once in everything looked great.
attaching some picts for reference.
