We just screwed the bracket to the underside of the cabinet above the sink.

We attached, with screws, our white plastic cheapie from Walmart right under the cabinet above the sink and against the wall. The roll rests securely against the wall, it's up and out of the way and is easy to tear off sheets. Works great. Sorry for the sideways pic 🙄

over the door hanger

I too wanted to mount but found there was really not a good place. I found an over the door paper towel holder and used it on a cabinet above my sink. It is out of the way, no damage to putting it up and easy access.

Can you mount the holder upside down on the bottom of the cupboards?

Paper Towel Holder

We use a stainless steel stand up paper towel holder, We place it on the counter and being it is portable you can move it where ever you want. When we travel we place it in the empty garbage can under the sink.

Cubboard

It works perfectly just sitting them on shelf and close door. No holder or anything
*note, pictures loaded side ways.*

My hubby loves Harbor Freight and he found a magnetic paper towel holder that is super strong! We attached it to the side of the vent hood and it works GREAT!! He also bought one for the outside kitchen and I’m THRILLED to finally have paper towels that work and didn’t require a single nail hole in my walls!!

Paper towel holder

I found one that hangs from the handle of the oven door. Originally thought it might be in my way but it has worked out well. Even has a hook for a potholder. Bealls outlet

Custom made paper towel holder

I found a way to install a paper towel holder without using screws. I bought a bar used to keep items in cabinet from shifting during travel. Those bars come in various sizes and are kept in place using a spring mechanism. I put the bar through the middle of a roll of paper towels and secure the bar between the countertop and base of ther wall cabinet using only the tension in the spring mechanism. I can easily move my paper towels to various locations as needed. I've used it in 2 coaches over the last 15 year without a problem. I'm sure why but my photo attached sideways

Mine are attached with large 3m strips and short screws. The screws don’t go into much, but the combo has held them for 2 years and going.

Sounds like you have a wall spot. I bet you can make it work there using such a combo.

I ordered this from Amazon - serves dual purposes. An over the cabinet mount with paper towel on one side, dish towel on the other.

Just don't get the one that claims it's 'made for campers' and sticks to the wall. It does NOT stick. Maybe the heavier duty tape might work. I may try that. Right now, our paper towels just kinds float around.

Screwed into the end of a cabinet. This particular holder is just tight enough that the towels don't unroll on the road. Towels are accessible from both sides of the sink.

I have yet to figure out why a photo that looks right on my PC ends up sideways. And if I turn it 90° to the right, before I upload it, it will turn another 90°.

I just noticed that the question was posted in the A-Frame sub-forum. Probably no upper cabinets. Sorry.

This is what we did too. Works great!

Posted by an A-framer for an A-framer.
Hanging out here at Klamath Falls for a week I just now went with a version from a previous poster. Bungee but with a loop knot in the middle to shorten the bungee and to seemingly cause some drag on the roll and remedy any free-spin. I did have to remove my stash of shopping bags stuffed inside the tube. I may still be able to stuff some back in...
This easily adapted to the smaller Lifetime brand pop up table I replaced the stock table with. New table already had an indent to hang the bungee hooks from, no drilling, tape or screws required. We'll see how it holds up. Good luck with what you decide.

It came from Home Depot but is two pieces with a splice piece made for the size of pipe. Easy and adjustable. HD cut the pipe for me and it rides in front of the fridge when traveling.
