how to service 5500 watt generator in dynamax 302 sl

I have just purchased a 2006 dynamax dynaquest 302 SL motorhome with a Mercedes engine. It looks like the generator has never been service and I want to service it.. Question is how in the world do I do that, do I have to take the generator out to even check the oil, where is the filter... Anyone know whats up with this and how to do this.....

this is just a guess as I don't know your rv and model year 2006 is a while ago. things have probably changed a bit. i'm assuming an onan generator (but this may not be true). go online and get the service manual for the generator. then my guess is that if you crawl under the rv where the generator is you will see the filter and oil drain port. some generators are mounted on a sliding tray that you can pull out to service them, but since you didn't mention one i'm guessing you will need to crawl under. new oil is probably added through the dipstick access hole. air filter is probably accessible from the top front. unsure about what fuel it uses and if fuel pumps and filters need service. there may well be youtube videos that show you how.
