Location For Dishes

Where is everyone putting your dishes in the Trilogy? We looked through a 2014 Saturday, while waiting for ours to arrive, and didn't see a specific area dedicated for the dishes.

At first it was a real puzzler. I put our dishes in the drawers under the stovetop (face down on shelf paper). It started as a temporary solution, but the more I use those three drawers (big bottom one for bowls), the more I like being able to instantly access a bowl, plate, saucer etc. rather than having to move items around like I had to do when I had a specific dish cabinet.

Thanks, JD. My wife said she was planning on starting out using the drawers under the range but wasn't sure how well it would work. Guess we'll plan on doing the same for now until we find a different solution.

BTW, we have been to Kansas and Oklahoma, then back to Arkansas. All our dishes are glass (Corelle) and so far nothing has broken. Our cups and glasses are in the little cabinet next to the microwave. There is a ton of storage in here, but they should have made some area for dishes, I agree.

Perhaps I should start a new thread, but we have super cold air coming through the vent at the bottom of the stairs. We keep lights in our bay so that it is warm there. How about you?

We are still living in our Cedar Creek. Yesterday we were notified that our Trilogy has been released for shipment and should have it next weekend. So as of today, I don't know if we will have that problem.

Here in SW Oklahoma, it is always windy so if there are any drafty areas in the camper, we will find them pretty quick.

Since this is our 4th rig, I tend to put things in the same general area that I had them in our last. We keep dishes (china)and some serving pieces along with napkins, etc. in the cabinets over the recliners nearest the table. We keep coffee mugs and wine glasses in plastic tubs (in clean old socks) in the next cabinet. I do have rubberized shelves in there which allows stacking and we travel with sofa pillows tucked in front and doors velcro we'd closed. Use the large drawer under the cooktop for pots and pans. Reinforced the top silverware and pot drawer.

I checked out the area over the table: it would be convenient to reach over the table to set it. But there are few occasions that I do it that way. Usually we put the food in plates at the island and then set them onto the table. So for us it is more convenient to use the drawers. Plus nothing is stacked. But we all have our own needs. So I'm sure the space over the table would work great for a lot of travelers.
