2 tanks to 1 tank???
Can I remove one tank from my 2 tank setup and just run 1 tank (and remove the other hose and plug the fitting?
I don't need 2 tanks even though my unit came with 2 with auto switch over. I use very little propane and I could use the space the second bottle (tank) takes up (my bottles are inside a compartment)
If I deplete one bottle all season, I'm using a lot.
Is that doable?

So just plug the one side and leave the change over lever centered? Right?
You know I can use that space because I don't have a lot to begin with....

If you need the space then why not take them both out a run a long LP hose to your truck. That way you can sit your LP tank in your truck and run a hose to your tank when you get to the campground.

I own a Palomino SS1500 slide in truck camper, not a pull behind. The truck bed is full of camper... no room....
Guess I could put the bottles in the back seat, I have a 4 door.

No no please don't put propane tanks inside your truck or in a sealed area. Propane sinks to lowest level if leak occurs and will fill up the entire area and if/when spark occurs.....well you know what will happen.

two tanks
Might want to think about a new regulator for one tank.
You could leave the second tank home and filled for when the one tank does need filling you don't have to run right and do it.

That was my plan. Propane isn't a big deal for me. I do residential deliveries part time (propane) for a buddy.
I am having thoughts about the 2 bottle regulator. I may nose around in the shop at the gas dealer and see if there is a one bottle regulator collecting dust.

If you use less then 20# of propane in a season, then why not purchase and use 1# tanks to save on the space. Fairly costly to do this but sometimes space is better.
Also, at a much higher cost, you can purchase 5# and 10# tanks that again are much smaller than a 20# tank.
