Adjustable floor vents

Has anyone replaced their floor register vents with adjustable damper type? If so has that affected your furnace? I read this on Suburban's web site:

Can I close off a register so more heat goes to another part of the vehicle?

No, this is not recommended. Doing so will cause improper furnace operation and possible overheating of the furnace.

I would like to have less heat in the bedroom & bathroom and more in the living room. I have 5th wheel with 5 floor vents.

Thanks
