I was camping in late August in Wyoming with 30 amp service and using my Atwood Model #AFSD20121 furnace to keep warm. Guessing that sometime around 4am my furnace stopped working. I woke up to a very cold trailer. The furnace would not start. I made due by running the oven and making some coffee. Over the next day or so, I found a youtube video that mentioned a reset switch on the side of the Atwood furnace.
It is pictured below in the photo just above where the 2 blue and 1 red wire enters the furnace assembly. During the trip, I reset that to no avail and managed the rest of the trip using a portable space heater.
I am now winterizing the trailer and had planned to take it into a dealer for warranty repair. Today, I tried again to reset this switch during my winterization and low and behold the furnace now is working. I presume the dealer will not be of much help since it appears to be working.
I actually found the Jayco forum discussion where the Youtube video poster was discussing this only to find out that his quick fix as pictured was not permanent.
Any suggestions on what might be going on?
