You, AND your wife need to learn how to take a "GI shower". Get wet, turn water off, soap up, wash hair, whatever, turn water back on to rinse off. Plenty of water for 2 or more showers when you understand this technique.
Even a propane HWH will not provide hot water for both of you if the 1st person takes a 7 minute shower.

You need to talk to Glenn and Youroo, I personally don't care one way or the other. I bought the Oxygenics because everyone was saying how much better they were. I just don't see the difference or any improvement one way or the other. Plus the Oxygenics didn't come with a shutoff which IMHO is a negative.

I travel alone and enjoy my showers. I replaced my 6 gal HW heater with the Truma continuous HW heater. It runs on 12V and propane. Dealer gave me a credit on the original HW heater. Plenty of HW for showers and washing dishes. I've been very pleased.

If you travel with six, you might give it a consideration. You won't have to wait to replenish the HW if the group is getting ready to go out.

If you are going to go tankless ( which sounds like the best solution under the circumstances) definitely go propane. A 110V Tankless water heater in an RV ( 50A service max) will never keep up.

Yes, they do have them, but they are quite slow to heat as compared with gas.

I researched some of the electric on demand hot water heaters. Wow the smallest ones I could find produced 1.97 gpm and were 240v and used 11000 watts. WOW!

I found one 120v but it says point of use as in for one sink or just the shower but they don't even make a claim for what it can produce per minute

Seems the thread and question got hijacked, BAD by those that did not read your question.

Are you sure the tank has been filled with water?
Is your park connection electric connection 120VAC with how many AMPS?
Your hot water tank may be 120V or it may be wired for 220V? You need to check to see how your tank is wired. If it is wired for 220VAC but you are plugged into 120VAC, you tank is working on 1/2 the volts. I believe this may be your problem.

This would be the first step to check is the correct voltage supply your park
model.

Your shower head type has nothing to do with how long it takes to heat water.

Hi to all. I don't know of any elec. space heaters that could possibly run on 12v. I replaced my elec. 80gal. water heater with a 240V elec. space heater and have a 60A breaker on a dedicated circuit but it heats 5 gal. of the hottest water per minute and supplies my entire 1,700 sq. ft. home with no problem. I would guess that in an RV a gas space heater would be possible though.

I looked up your specs for the RV you have, it requires 50 AMPS of service for the hot water tank to work properly. If you are plugged into 30 amp service, this may be your problem.

As someone stated early, check the proper setting for the bypass valves for the hot water tank.

Take a cool as you can stand shower and turn up the temp of the tank thermostat. Both of these will help significantly. You may also have 600-800 watt element. Increase its size to what breaker/wiring will allow. Be aware that a 240 volt element run on 120 volts will only provide 1/4 the 240 volt watts and probably 90% of the elements sold are rated home use which are 240 v.
